Riding the Easter Train...

I am always on the look out for CUTE boys' clothes for Caleb because they are all so *YAWN* boring! Old Navy gets my fun clothes prize this season with their short/tops combos that were totally cute! Of course I spent more than I should for my boy, but he needed a little pick up in his wardrobe!! I FELL IN LOVE with this outfit!

We decided that for our Easter Holiday we would take a little stay-cation. We were planning to travel up to Austin/Fredricksburg, but decided to stay home since Caleb had been sick, we weren't sure if I was going to have a job next year (I do, so it's fine now...drama that you don't need to hear about!) etc. There is a show that we watch here on our local PBS station called Texas Daytripper (I might've mentioned it before) but we LOVE it! A guy just takes daytrips (hence the name) around Texas spotlighting all of the fun small towns and the neat things you can do! We decided to do our own daytrip to ol' Rosenberg Texas...a small town about oh twenty miles south of where we live. They have a train museum that I have wanted to take Caleb to for a while now...it was a BLAST! We took tons of pics, so I filtered them out to the ones y'all will see here in a bit! We also did a little bit of antique/boutique shopping where when you walk in the stores, people are working on puzzles and they're offering you their homemade cookies! They also say "Have a Blessed Day!" Small town Texans are SO NICE!! It makes you feel all cozy inside! We had a GREAT day and a HAPPY Easter! We hope y'all did too!! ENJOY!

Starting inside the museum...Caleb getting to learn how to drive a train!

Who'd a thunk it...a train coming by on the tracks while we were in the train museum?? Caleb was in H-E-A-V-E-N!!!!

Caleb claims that this is Toby's bell...for those of you who are in the know...Toby is the SQUARE train from Thomas...

CABOOSE!!!

The worries of the Caboose Driver!
This was actually really cool...there was a stove, sink, shower and an ice box, along with the bed and desk! I never knew how interesting trains could be!

Taking a few minutes to relax

Keeping on the lookout for all of those trains!

This is up in a tower...Caleb is running the tracks, with a little help!

Making an important call to make sure the trains are being useful!
Sir Toppham Hat would be proud!

That plastic food looks DELICIOUS as Caleb would say!

The dining room at the end of the car

Where you would sleep back in the day if you were taking a ride!

The haunted hallway...not really, but it looks like it could be!

Taking a ride in the exquisite dining/sleeping car...is that a GHOST in the mirror??

One of the Electric Train set ups...

Caleb taking a drive in the old fire truck...

Another pic of the fire truck with our tour guide...Morgan Freeman...

Conductor Caleb...in training!

Conductor Caleb...meet Conductor Dad!

We went to a yummy lunch at the Another Time Soda Fountain just right across the street from the museum...it is the BEST if you are in the mood for some yummy Texas comfort food along with some ice cream treats!!
You're Welcome Rosenberg!!!

Later that night...another adventure!!

Coloring the eggs...I think our counter was more colorful than the eggs!!

What the Easter Bunny brought!!

EGGS!!!

Cowboy PJ's!!

We thought it would be super cute to add a real hat and his stick horse...

Yep, It IS!!

Good thing we live in Texas...Caleb fits right in!!
