All cool things come to those who ROCK!

This is what Caleb told me the other morning...or it is just written on his t-shirt! I know he was thinking it though! This is just a taste of the cuteness that I have to leave every morning. I get Caleb up (or he gets himself up) around 6:15. About the time that Ad leaves for work (about 6:30), Caleb's "show" comes on. That would be Paddington Bear. i don't know if it's because he's still tired, or loves bears with English accents that are from Peru, but he will just sit and watch and not really move! Of course i had to capture this on camera and as you can see he did not even move while taking the pictures...in fact if i walked in front of him and he was close enough to reach, he would try and move me out of the way! Don't mess with Caleb when Paddington's on!

The flash was even on here!

The "blockhead" shot. Again, love that football shaped head!

Still not moving (at this point he was getting really annoyed with me!)

Paddington and his hijinks...makes me want to suck on my blankie too!

I also wanted to get some before pics of Caleb in his cute outfit...the after pics (when I pick him up from the babysitter) would not be pretty!
You can always tell that he has played hard! But seriously...He should be the spokesbaby for The Children's Place! I think so anyway!

No this isn't Caleb, but I just thought it was funny how much Neko blends into the couch...with the exception of his gray helmet and sideburns!

Relaxing on the weekend!

I love the weekends because I get to spend time with my boys...especially after a hard long week at school! Last week was one of those weeks! Anyway, after I gave Caleb a bath and put him in his jammies at night, he usually has a little time to play. Tonight, he caught up with his dad who was playing some video games! Caleb likes to watch and also play with the controller! I'm thinking he may give his cousin Kooper a run for his money someday with the video games!! I just thought he looked so cute here sitting on his knees by his daddy!

Seeing how the controls work!

Is this how I do it...Dad? Mom? Anyone?

Yes I know you're looking at the back of Caleb's head, but Adam and I have discovered that when you are looking at the back of his head he looks a lot like Charlie Brown! I mean, it does look like it's shaped like a football right?!? Maybe it's just the ears...he's still our little Blockhead!

Excited to go to bed!

OKAY...this is the funnest video and sorry if it's a little dark. It's in the garage and we don't get the best lighting! Anyway, every time I take Caleb out of the car, he has to push the button to close the garage. He will push in and then watch the door until it is all the way closed. He actually gets really excited about this and goes for the red button as soon as he gets out of the car! I actually had to teach him how to do this, so I am giving myself a little pat on the back for Caleb learning how to push a button!

On the Go...ALL of the Time!

Our boy is just constantly on the move! He can crawl backwards and army crawl forward. He is almost there!! Caleb somehow manages to get into anything and everything and I'm looking forward to when he can walk and get into everything...not really, but I'm sure that it'll be a treat! Something to blog about right?!? He is starting to eat more real food, not a lot, but enough to work with some new textures. I try to give him a little taste of everything, so we'll see what the next few months bring. Here are a few fun pics from our week...ENJOY!

This is a picture of Neko's new lounge spot. This is supposed to be for Adam, but I think the cat sits in it more!

Caleb was a little upset that I was taking pictures of the cat, so I snuck one of him in!

Since we've gotten back from Christmas, Neko has been so desperate for loves, he has started to try to get them from Caleb. If you know our cat, he has had NOTHING to do with Caleb. Now he lets him pet him and pull his ears and tail...this is HUGE!
I love Caleb's face here...it looks like he's done something wrong!

Playing and getting stuck in his toys before bedtime!

Seriously...you're just going to stand there?!?

Here is a little video of Caleb just moving around!

Back to work!

It's been another crazy week in the Colson household trying to get back into our routines! Caleb quickly got back into the swing of things and had no problem adjusting to going back to Janet's house to play! We finally have him in a set routine and he is going to bed at 8 every night AND sleeps until 6:30 on the weekdays (which is when I have to get him up) and 7 on the weekends! We think that this is just great! Caleb always sleeps through the night, but we've never really had the set bedtime until now! He also turned 10 months on the 7th and is growing so fast! Last check up he was at 25lbs. and 31 inches long. I can't believe just how quickly time has flown by! He is so much fun, and of course likes to see how far his voice can travel in the chapel at church! We love the couches in the foyer!
Believe it or not, I missed my 2nd graders and was excited to get back into the swing of things at school. I still missed playing with Caleb all day, (especially after Janet would send me picture texts of him playing at the park) but was glad to get some structure back too! I look forward to picking up my boy at the end of the day to see his big smiling face. Oh yeah...we've had close to 80 degree weather this past week, so our shorts and t-shirts welcomed us back!
Adam is also just as busy as before with his research and is preparing to take his 2nd year exams in February or March. This is a hoop that he has to jump through at Rice and he has to pass them in order to continue with his Doctorate Degree and is a little anxious. I know he's going to do FANTASTIC! Anyway, here are a few pics from our week...

Sleeping Beauty...Caleb has a habit of crossing his feet which is so cute. I went in to check on him one night and saw that he was doing it, and went to get the camera. When I got back he had moved! I took a picture anyway!

My mom is totally cringing at this mess I know! Caleb is on the move all of the time now and just rolls from toy to toy! Don't worry, we pick them up before we go to bed!!!

I'm totally PUMPED that Caleb is starting to hold his own bottle! I mean he's 10 months old right?!? This should've happened a long time ago!

Caleb's in bed...what do we do now?? Take a picture?!?

This picture is for my dad...Adam was telling him about this AWESOME Dr. Pepper that they sell here in Texas and we tried to find him some in Utah! We didn't find any, so we went to the store down here to pick some up! I know you're not here to have some dad but this is what the bottle looks like! We'll save ya some!! YUMMERS!

Holiday Vacation Fun!

Before we left...Caleb is breaking in his Dad's Christmas present!

Looks VERY comfortable!

Oh my goodness what a two weeks it has been! I feel that for a vacation that was supposed to be just incredibly relaxing, we were just sooooo busy! We had a lot of fun though traveling up north to Idaho and Utah to visit our families. Caleb got to play and meet a lot of new people and he traveled like a champ! I think that we wore him out, and personally, Adam and I are the ones who are completely worn out. It was hard to go back to work! Anyway, for those of you who don't know, we went and visited Ad's parents up in Stanley, Idaho (to the mountain home) and got to see their new log home for the first time! It is a really nice home and we had a lot of fun playing in the snow and just getting stuck in the mountains...there seriously were times when all the roads were closed to get out! Adam's parents actually ended up taking us to SLC where we got to play a little more with my family...not in the snow...but we did get to go to some movies, shop, and I got to have my hair modernized again from Nikki! We had a great time with our families and were sad to leave. We took a lot of pics and I am not going to post them all...these are just some highlights (I apologize for there being so many!) and I'll post more as I get them on the computer! We hope that you all have a Happy New Year!

Caleb's first adventure in the great outdoors...he didn't love it!
