I know we post a lot of pictures of Caleb in his clothes, but honestly by the end of the day, he's just hanging out in his white onesie with socks...it gets pretty warm in the afternoons here!! Anyway, this outfit, Ad picked out and we laughed because he wears polo shirts all of the time! We tried to see if Ad had a matching one to take a pic together, but we couldn't find one! Caleb also had another doctor's appointment on Friday. He did gain weight this week which was fantastic. He's back up to 8lbs. 13oz. and we're going to work hard this week to get him up to his birthweight! Sometimes it is really hard to wake him up when he needs to eat, so if anyone has any great suggestions, please let me know!! He'll wake up for about five minutes to eat and then I just become a binky!! This doesn't happen everytime, but enough that I would love the extra help!

Caleb's Motto!

Here are some CUTE pictures of Caleb in his favorite new onesie and booties!! This has become his new motto and of course the cowboy boots just make the outfit complete!! What a stylish boy!!! As you can see in one of the pictures, he is really trying to find his thumb...he has succeeded a few times and even though I shouldn't let him suck it...it's just too much fun to watch! His favorite time to find his thumb has recently been in the bath...I have to be careful not to put soap all over his hands or he'll just suck it off!!! We're still trying to figure out who he looks like...I think he looks more like me through the eyes and lips, but he sure has Ad's ears!! And I love his hair...thank goodness Caleb likes to keep up with the baby trends!

I finally have a minute!!

I just have to say that being a mom is kind of hard!! I am learning a lot each and every day with trying to figure out the different things that Caleb needs...we're working hard but I feel that I don't have any time!! I guess that's what happens when you become parents! I finally got him to take a nap which gives me a few minutes to update the blog!! It's been an exciting couple of days...I miss my mom tons...it was so nice to have someone else here during the day to help out!! But I appreciate Adam so much more for coming home and being the biggest helper!! We call him the gopher now!! Anyway, things are going well, Caleb is growing and changing each and every day and I'm trying really hard to get him to smile!! We have a doctor's appointment this friday for a weight check...we'll see what happens!!

Two Weeks Old and Dr. Appt.

Here are some more pictures we've taken of Caleb throughout the week! He has had quite the second week of life having to go to the doctor on Tuesday to get circumsized and then having to go to the pediatrician today and getting his heel pricked!! I think this kiddo has cried enough tears that he's ran out!! Anyway, everything looks good other than he was a pound underweight which was surprising to me because he has been feeding great and seems satisfied until the next time he has to eat! So, along with breastfeeding now, we're going to supplement him with some formula, just to make sure that he is getting full! I also haven't been eating as much as I should, so I have to start really focusing on that as well!! He has another appointment next Friday, so we'll see what happens...hopefully we can put some weight on this kid!! He is just the sweetest little guy and we feel truly blessed everyday to have him here with us!! My mom has to go home tomorrow and I'll admit it's going to take some getting used to not having her here to help me with Caleb...but we'll do great!!

One Week Old

Here are a few pictures that my mom had taken of Caleb throughout his first week home. He is doing fantastic with feeding and sleeping and just being a great baby!! We have truly been blessed, so far, with a wonderful baby boy!! Tonight he has just been enjoying his surroundings and has been so alert and awake! We're still trying to figure out the color of his eyes, but think they will most definetely be on the light side because his momma and daddy have green and blue eyes!! Nana and Grandpa Colson came to visit us this weekend and we have enjoyed having them here to meet their grandson. Adam, Jeff and my mom also had a little crawfish boil on the deck...it didn't look good, but they said it was!!!! What a week!!

More Pictures of Caleb

We took Caleb to the doctor yesterday and he did well...when we brought him home from the hospital he weighed 8 lbs 14 oz. and yesterday he was 8 lbs. 13 oz. so he's doing well!! We are really enjoying our baby boy and taking tons of pictures! We think he's growing into his cheeks and my mom even thought she saw a little dimple!! We'll see!!

We're home, healthy and happy!!

Just to keep you updated...Caleb and I were discharged yesterday which was awesome...I guess C-Sections aren't that bad after all!! There are not a lot of pics with me in them because lets face it...we all want to see the baby, but I have to take them when he's sitting with his daddy!! We are thinking that he has a lot of Colson traits...which he should, he is one!! He always has a concerned look on his face (he gets that from me, right Tracie?!?) and is just a little cuddle bug! We're going to the doctor tomorrow for his first official check up and then I get to go and get my staples removed...YIPPEE!!! I love being a mommy especially to my cute little munchkin...we'll post more pics as we take them!!

Caleb Keith Colson

Caleb Keith Colson was born Friday afternoon. He weighed 9 lbs 8 ounces and he was 20.5 inches in length. I've posted some of the first pictures below, and Jenna will no doubt add to this post when she is able.

We're Having a Baby...TODAY!!!

Hey y'all...I just wanted to let you know, if you haven't already heard, we're going to be having our baby boy by c-section today at 12:30. When I went to the Doctor's on Wednesday, the ultrasound showed him measuring at 10 pounds and he wasn't going anywhere!! Stubborn boy!! SO she just said lets get him out safely and that seems like the best!! Plus, is was actually nice to be able to get my substitute completely ready for today and next week!! I would've not been very excited if she had to come into the classroom with nothing! Anyway, we will try (MOMS) TRY to get pictures posted as soon as we can...we're excited to see him and are already taking bets on what he will look like!! Adam told me that he hopes that baby doesn't have hair because after Suri Cruise was born, babies born with hair became the big trend!! Just like us to go against the trends!!! We love you all!!!
