Rash be GONE!

Well, we have survived the first week back from Spring Break and it has actually been a lot of fun! I have had the best afternoon play times with Caleb and he is just too funny! Thank heavens for antibiotics! We have had peaceful nights sleep again and Caleb has just been so happy! Tonight before I put him in the bathtub, he was crawling around nakey on the floor and again, i just noticed that he has one HUGE head!!! So here's the proof. He is actually pretty skinny but that head just takes up a lot of space! He also looks like he could be 5 in these pictures!! He is just a big boy! Anyway, he loves running around naked, so we had another naked photo shoot! I was having so much fun taking pics, and talking on the phone at the same time that I dropped my phone in the bathtub while I was running it!!! HAHAAAAA! It still works though...I am going to give myself another pat on the back for multitasking! Enjoy!

I forgot to add...

Oh yeah...I rant about this rash Caleb has and don't tell y'all how he got it!!! Anyway, it was a side affect from his Chicken Pox and MMR vaccinations that he got from his last wellness appointment. The doctor said that it's a good sign that the vaccination is working! I also think that Caleb got his ear infection from that visit...duh me for letting him play with the toys that the sick kids play with and not germ-xing his hands!!! I hope this clears up some confusion for you!

The doctor kept calling Caleb her spotted friend...I thought that was pretty funny! The pictures don't do the rash justice! It does look pretty awful!



Well of course on the wake of the wellness appointment, we traveled back in yet again for an unwell visit to the doctor. Caleb started showing a little rash on Saturday and it EXPLODED all over his body on Sunday! Being the over protective mother that I was, I kept him home from church and Ad and I did some observing. He didn't really act like anything was bothering him and played, ate and napped normally. Fast forward to last night and can I just say, after bragging about how great of sleeper Caleb is, we had our first night of no sleep AT ALL!! There was no calming or getting this kid comfortable. If he laid down next to us he would twist and turn and move and cry and WOW it was a tough night! I wasn't sure if this was the work of the rash, so called the doc, and took him in this afternoon! Yes, he did have rash, but the doc also threw in an ear infection as well (should've known that one right?!?) So now Caleb has the antibiotics and went down to bed very peacefully...knock on wood! Of course I have to document this...being his first rash and all! He's going to love this one when he's older! We also had a lot of fun playing around tonight! The camera loves Caleb!!

When Mom's Away...

WOW! Have I really taken this long to post? That's not right! But we've been REALLY busy! So just to update, I'm currently finishing up my Spring Break! I go back on Monday...BOO and YEA at the same time! That means that the school year is almost up BUT I have to take Caleb back to the babysitters! We have had such a fun time together, and I don't love taking him back, but he needs to go and play with his friends instead of being clingy to his mom! My whole family came down to visit this past week. It was so fun to show them around and just hang out...we ate out EVERY DAY!! and believe me, there are some good places to go and eat down here! We also got to shop and I took them to go gator huntin! Nikki was so AWESOME and cut and colored my hair (which looks fab!) and it was just so fun to have Mike, Bailey and Kooper here. Caleb just LOVES his cousin Kooper and followed him EVERYWHERE! Koop got to stay longer and went home with GMA and GPA D, so we got him used to having a little brother since he has one on the way (Kooper has a little bro on the way!) He wasn't sure what Caleb was doing when he tried to climb him or grab his toes, but he got used to it!! I felt bad that it rained the first two days that Mike and Nikki were here, but when they left last Monday, it was beautiful out! I miss my family tons, but was glad that they came down for a visit! Love Y'ALL!!
Caleb had his 1 year wellness appointment last week. He weighs in at 27lbs. 14oz. and is 33 inches long. The doctor informed me once again that he isn't in any percentile and had gone way beyond the charts sometime ago! He IS proportionate for his height and weight and is healthy and happy! He is in a size 24 months, and of course is now our little man! My dad worked really hard to try to get him walking and I think he's getting more used to the idea. He's starting to get braver and stand by himself AND can walk with me just holding one of his hands! He has been so snuggly with me lately and will give kisses (which I LOVE!) and just hope that never goes away! What a crazy couple of weeks! Enjoy the pics!

On Tuesday, my mom and I had a girls day and went shopping. GPA got to stay home with the boys and this is what we came home too! EVERY toy that Caleb owned was out on the floor! GPA said that he just went to town and had a great time doing it!

KOOPER!!! I had so much fun with this kiddo! I'm glad he got to stay longer! We got to play some games on the Wii and he gives the best hugs and kisses!


Back to Gator Hunting...I took the fam back to the gator park that Ad and I went to a few weeks ago and boy was it fun...we went on one of the trails around one of the lakes and there were gators EVERYWHERE! Here is Koop and GPA by one of the bigger ones we saw!


We weren't supposed to get off of the trails...remember "Don't Annoy the Alligators?" but Nikki and her BF Johnny couldn't resist! That's my sister...always looking trendy and fabulous even surrounded by gators and swamps!

Caleb Keith Turns 1!!!!!

I think Caleb knew that it was his birthday yesterday because he woke up in just the BEST mood and was so happy and excited ALL DAY (Adam doesn't know this, but when I got him out of bed, I shed a few tears...not of sadness-of just how fast time has gone by)!! It was a very busy birthday for Caleb with getting his 1 year old pics taken at the JCP (SO CUTE by the way!), grocery shopping, naps, eating, final prep for his party and of course THE PARTY!! He invited his Uncle Mike and Aunt Julie to come and BBQ some hamburgers and play...and we did just that! Even though it was a small gathering of friends and family, it turned out to be a pretty terrific 1st birthday for our boy Caleb! Enjoy all of the pics...there's a lot so have fun!

Even though things are wrapped here, Caleb got some fun things for his Birthday including some books, an Elmo video, a Star Wars blankie, some clothes, Elmo Live, and some gift certificates for McDonalds to use when he goes with his babysitting friends at Janet's house!


Janet, Caleb's babysitter, gave him this for his birthday, it's so much fun! Caleb likes to push all the buttons that make lots of sounds. Caleb brought coloring books and cookies for all of his friends at Janet's house for his birthday!
