In the year 2008 in the month of November, the Colson's embarked on a new adventure...their first Thanksgiving Feast! and BOY we are proud of ourselves! I finally got to make my own turkey...all 18 pounds and Adam and I made our favorite Thanksgiving grub to help start our own family tradition when we don't have the opportunity to go to our families houses! It has felt like a holiday today...we got up, watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and cooked all morning! Adam took care of the sweet potatoes and homemade cranberries, while I made the rest. We both took care of getting the turkey ready and then Ad carved it up for us! Caleb of course, had his Thanksgiving nap while we ate our feast, but he has had fun playing and having mom and dad home! We are going to start putting up Christmas tomorrow and I'm so excited! I love this time of year and we just have so much to be thankful for! We know that we wouldn't be where we are at today and have all that we do without the help of our Heavenly Father and know that we are truly blessed and guided by Him! We are thankful for our little family and our families that are up north! We miss you all and are excited to see y'all soon! Enjoy!
Ummmm yeah...we took a picture of our food, we are THAT proud!
I got this pic while Caleb was munching on his little Gerber Puffs! It looks like his real teeth right?!?
We also took Caleb to his first college football game last Saturday (Rice vs. Marshall)! It was a lot of fun, and Caleb got to go out on the field before the game started to cheer on the players. We went with our good buddies Mike and Julie Hill and stayed through the 3rd quarter (believe it or not, it was starting to get a little chilly and Munchkin was TIRED!) I wanted Sammy the Owl to come over to where we were sitting to take a pic with Caleb but he stayed on the other side of the field...bummer! Anyway, it was a great game, and Caleb really enjoyed watching the band make all of that noise!
Caleb on the field with Daddy and Mike waiting for the football players!
Hi mom...where are you?
Rice football team charging the sidelines!
Our little linebacker showing some serious binkie biting!
GRRRRR....FOOTBALL!!
Dreaming of the day when he can lead the band!
Our seats were right on the fifty yard line...AWESOME!
Go Owls! It's really a huge stadium!

Highlights from our week!
We have had another busy week as usual and of course it has come with some fun picture moments of Caleb! For those of you who don't know and are wondering what is above Caleb's eye, he was born with a cyst. We are going to get it removed after he turns one and I'm hoping that it is not affecting his vision. According to his Opthamologist, cysts grow slower than glaciers and he is just growing into his face which makes it more noticeable. Anyway, FYI!! That's why he looks like he has a bump on his eye! He has been a little more fussy this weekend with a little congestion and has had to spend a few nights with mom and dad. He actually sleeps better when he is with us when he's not feeling too hot, but I don't mind! He sounded better tonight which was good...I'm hoping for a fuss free night! Anyway, I don't know if I'll be posting before Thanksgiving, so I hope that y'all have a Happy one!
Caleb CAN hold a bottle...he just chooses not to!
Love that smile!
More adventures under the couch!
Soon in need of a haircut! It's getting a little shaggy!
Starting to really move...he's made it the Dining Room.
Getting ready for church...I love my boy in a tie!
He'd rather eat it!

Caleb's Low Chair and "The Boss"
We're trying a new diet for Caleb...Wicker!
Modeling the Low Chair with his serious look...Blue Steel!
His little smirk...we get this all of the time!
I'm going to get you momma!
Okay, you can put the camera down!
When my mom and dad were here they took out Caleb's high chair for us. Of course, it hasn't quite made it to the chair yet, so we call it his low chair! My mom is probably cringing right now because we haven't set it up yet, but as always, the Colson's do things on their own slow time!!! Anyway, later this afternoon we caught Caleb playing with our records and he is always taking the Bruce Springstein one out to play with...maybe he likes his songs or maybe it's the fact that he has a new toy to play with! It's all entertainment to us!! Enjoy!
BORN...in the USA!!
We'll post the video when he starts learning the moves!!!

Need I Say More??
Love the shirt!!
Caleb does too!
Loving on the red couch!
This morning when I was getting Caleb ready to go, we had some extra time. I made myself some breakfast while Caleb played and rolled around. I finished and went to wash my bowl and when I turned around I didn't see Caleb anywhere! I knew where he might've gone (the room isn't that big) and went and peeked under the couch...there he was!! I thought it was so funny! I didn't think he could even fit under there...he did and actually had a lot more room to roll over some more! He is just changing so fast every day and I'm loving his little personality! What a good boy!
Now you see him...
Now you don't!
More room to roll!

Return of the Snugglebug!
Yes, I just have this one picture that's proof my little snuggler has returned and I cannot tell you how THRILLED I am! Caleb hasn't snuggled with me like this for a few months and it has made me so sad! He must've known how much I needed a snuggle the other night because he just sat in my lap and fell right asleep! I had to hold him for a little while longer before putting him into his own bed just in case he decided this was the only night he wanted to snuggle.. I also look like I need to go to bed! I get home from school and am just DRAINED! My class this year has been really tough with a few kids that just really throw off the dynamics. I have been working very hard to make sure that all of my students are getting the best education possible and some days are harder than others! Anyway, it is good to come home and spend time with my boy especially when he loves on his momma!! I can't wait for the day when my job can be just being mom!!

Time To Babyproof!
Caleb of course has started to roll all over the place! Tonight we were just playing on the floor when Caleb started rolling back toward his new favorite toy, Adam's X Box! I watched to see what he would do and as you can see from the pictures below a lot if he wanted to! I know what you're thinking, all babies roll and get into the same kind of trouble, but I have to document the trouble that my baby gets into just because I think it's FANTASTIC! Anyway, it is so fun to watch this kiddo grow and do more and more each day...we're going to ae to start hiding that X Box before Caleb really decides that he wants it!!
Going for it!
UH-OH DAD!!
BUSTED!!
Getting caught up!
MOM Save ME!!! Just a quick note...the wire is caught around his arm, we'll be moving that now!!
Here is a little slide show including some more fun pics of our Caleb loving on GMA and GPA D and rolling into some other unlikely places!! Enjoy!

Happy Halloween, Birthday, Family etc.
My parents brought Caleb dressed in his costume to school for Halloween yesterday...the kids went crazy and Caleb cried! You can tell by these pictures that he is NOT having a Happy Halloween and wondering why we have put him through this! He is our precious little zebra nonetheless!
Again, I am NOT having a Happy Halloween!!
I cannot believe that I am being put through this!!
These are a few pics that Grandma D took while she and Grandpa stayed at home with him on Thursday and Friday. I'll have to take some pictures of all of the things that they did to our apartment while they were here! I really didn't think it was possible to fix as many things as they did...or I guess I didn't figure that we had that much wrong with our apartment! Thanks for your help Grandma and Grandpa D!!
Now we come to Adam's Birthday which is today, but we celebrated it yesterday. Good thing too because I woke up in the middle of the night last night and have been sick the whole day! We had these big plans to have my parents watch Caleb while we go on a date, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen! I don't know why I got sick or if it is food poisoning or something else, but at this point, I still can't keep anything down!
BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER!!
Adam excited to be 28 and mad that I am sick!!
Some of the presents that Adam scored and a Key Lime Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory...yummers!!
Caleb showing us how far he can roll!
Letting us know what he wants to be for Halloween next year...Davy Crockett!!
Lovin that "coon" skin cap!!
